Today is Monster Monday, and I can think of no better way to celebrate than by introducing you to my newest friend, Beulah. She’s an incredibly charming creature, if not a bit overbearing and rough on the olfactory senses. Come and say hello. You’ll love her – or else!
Inspired by a nightmare I had a couple of years ago, The Beast of Baylock is a short story that reads like a twisted mashup of Stephen King’s Children of the Corn and John Hughes’ Vacation – but you’ll have to read it to find out what I’m talking about. You don’t think I’d spoil the story, do you?
If you’re interested in checking it out, it’s available here on the Amazon Kindle market for 99 cents. Have a read and let me know what you think. Sensitive eyes beware: The Beast of Baylock is intended for mature audiences only. It may also cause you to develop an acute case of klatarismenophobia.
